Kilindi, a haven in Zanzibar

The spacious suite-pavilions are completely open to the nature that surrounds them, with views over the private terrace and the sea beyond. They feature a nice living room, a spacious bedroom, a large bathroom with a central rain shower, and two plunge pools connected by a small canal. A true private paradise, an ideal and peaceful haven.

On the beach you can feel a genuine atmosphere; you can see the local fishermen working nearby, on board their dhows, witnessing the real lifestyle of the island.

When the tide rises it’s the perfect time to take a swim in the sea and enjoy the crystal-clear and turquoise waters of Zanzibar.

This amazing setting is complemented by the excellent service of Kilindi. Our personal butler took very good care of us, always helpful and thoughtful but discreet at the same time.

We especially enjoyed the hotel's cuisine, which offers a wide range of delicious options. The chef plays with Mediterranean, Indian, Latin and international recipes, giving them an exotic twist with the local spices and fresh ingredients of the island. Meals can be enjoyed in different locations of the resort, thus offering a completely bespoke experience.

Kilindi also has its small local wildlife, or as they say, their "little 5": bush babies, elephant shrews, Sykes monkeys, bluish-belly lizards and chameleons. We almost got to see them all!

In Zanzibar you can enjoy endless activities, including snorkelling, diving, dolphin watching, water sports, private dhow cruises at sunset, visits to Stone Town, the capital, a place full of history, or tours of the spices… There are plenty of options.

Although once you are in Kilindi... You won’t want to leave!
