Both Levi and Ruka offer a great skiing experience until early May and even though the slopes do not match with the Alpes, the activities in these destinations make them very attractive indeed. Apart from skiing you can enjoy dog sledding, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing, reindeer safaris, northern lights chasing… And Father Christmas is always around in Lapland!

Levi
Levi is located in Western Lapland and is famous for the World Cup Opening race in November. Nominated as the Ski Resort of Year 2016 in Finland, it’s the biggest ski resort in the country.
You can enjoy 43 slopes for alpine skiing and more than 27 km of cross-country open skiing tracks. You will also have the possibility to experience a real winter adventure, with husky safaris, reindeer sleigh, snowmobiling, ice fishing and chasing the northern lights!
Levi is a perfect combination of wild landscape and good services, like restaurants, shops and even bowling; a perfect destination when you are travelling with children!
Ruka
Ruka is located in Southern Lapland, right on the border to Lapland in Northern Finland, near to the Russian border, and it is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in Finland, offering very good skiing slopes.
Chosen as the best ski resort in Finland on 2016, it’s the perfect destination for families with children, where you can enjoy the wilderness without giving up on the best services: restaurants, shops, spas and even bowling!
