Everyone knows it. When I talk about Norway, my face lights up. I have had the privilege of exploring this country on numerous occasions, and each visit immerses me in a renewed ecstasy of awe and discovery. It is always a pleasure to revisit my friends in the north and learn from their lifestyle and astounding nature.
I arrive in Ålesund, a place that transports me to journeys of the past. Surrounded by fjords and mountains embraced by the ocean. I stay at Hotel Brosundet, where locals and guests mingle, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am at home! One of the curiosities of the hotel is room 47, located in a small lighthouse.
Once settled, it was time to savor Norwegian cuisine again. And explosion of local gastronomic flavors for lovers of fresh products.
My first experience of the day was an exciting Zodiac Rib ride to Øye. The waves caressed the zodiac as the wind gently touched my cheek. As we approached Øye, I could feel the vibrant energy of the Norwegian coast.
Kayaking through the majestic Norwegian fjords is immersing oneself in the serenity of calm waters, surrounded by towering mountains reflecting in the fjord's tranquility—an experience that blends adventure with unparalleled natural beauty. There are memorable ways to experience the stunning beauty of the Norwegian landscape.
But nothing is as impressive as taking a helicopter flight along the roof of the world. I could see the village submerged by an avalanche over 100 years ago, hidden beneath a mass of crystal-clear water.
The Storfjord Hotel is the place to be for tranquility and relaxation. This luxury boutique hotel is located on a wooden hillside and gives splendid views of the Storfjord and the Sunnmøre Alps. A beautiful haven from city life.
After recharging, I ventured to explore the Norang Valley by bike. The fresh air and mountainous landscape made every pedal worthwhile. In Trandal, a tiny village, I had the opportunity to revisit an "elf" village. I have always been fascinated by Norse mythology and its traditions.
One of the highlights of the trip was driving the winding fjord roads with an electric Porsche Cayenne, a 100% sustainable and adrenaline-filled experience.
