Landing at Paro airport is just the beginning of the adventure. The feeling that you get when you spot the landing strip and descend while completely surrounded by mountains, guarantees that you are going to enjoy a truly epic trip from the start. Less than a dozen pilots in the world are qualified to land at this small airport!

Travelling through the different valleys in order to gradually discover this kingdom of the Himalayas, is an amazing experience that very few people can experience each year.

Each valley is different; from the most crowded, like Thimphu, to the faraway Bumthang, including Punakha, with its imposing Dzong, and the remote and overwhelming Gangtey, without forgetting Paro, entry and exit door to the Kingdom of Bhutan and home of the iconic Tiger’s Nest.

Discovering and exploring the country with AMAN is undoubtedly an added value. Enjoying a typical lunch on a remote farmhouse, visiting isolated temples, admiring the breathtaking views while enjoying a traditional hot stone bath or taking part in an archery competition - Bhutan's national sport - are just some of the activities that you will be able to experience.

The ascent to Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest, is the final touch to an unforgettable journey. Getting there early in the morning is totally worth it, since you’ll be able to enjoy the ascent on your own. And arriving at the foot of this small monastery embedded in the mountains is an unforgettable moment.

Once inside, and devoid of our phones and cameras, we were able to witness truly magical rites and ceremonies, which we will never forget.
