Rediscovering Barcelona through one of the most emblematic hotels in the city is an incredible experience, after so many years visiting the Palace Hotel in Barcelona I could say that it has become my second home.
The Hotel was inaugurated in 1919 as the Ritz Barcelona, where it hosted monarchs, aristocrats, artists, musicians and many more personalities.
We walk through the revolving wooden doors and the perfumed smell and decoration pervades us. Carla, Mocca and myself were enchanted.
Hotel Director Friedrich Von Schönburg welcomed us and introduced us to Lulu, Pet Relations Manager of Hotel Palace Barcelona.
One of the reasons for the reception was to check in person the "Pet Friendly" services of the Palace. Our Pet Relations Manager "Mocca" was delighted with the experience, exploring every corner of the Hotel, from the velvety sofa for pets to comfortable beds and accessories for their stay. She had a great time!
One of the great successes of the new management has been to endow the hotel with a multitude of proposals for the local customer: Gastronomic experiences, art exhibitions and live music, in accordance with the current modern times, where the Great Hall is the central part of these experiences: Cake and Bubbles, tea with friends, the classic Sunday Brunch and their intimate and relaxed nights at the Bluesman.
The Rooftop Garden deserves a special mention, my favorite corner. From original meals by reconstructing an Alpine Chalet, it's like being in Switzerland! where we tasted their tasty raclettes and foundues in a charming atmosphere. Even the open-air cinema on original wooden benches and blankets for the cold.
Barcelonians and guests united with a common point: to enjoy the city of Barcelona, each one in their own way.
The Palace Barcelona will open a new seafood restaurant in collaboration with Rafa Zafra, the former head chef of El Bulli, who also runs the much talked about Heart Ibiza restaurant for the Adrià brothers, the aMar Barcelona.
