The five Six Senses Bhutan lodges have been designed to fully immerse travellers in the Kingdom of Bhutan’s natural beauty and culture, offering a contemporary take on traditional Bhutanese architecture and form. Furthermore, the brand is committed to the local environment, wildlife and communities, with the aim of preserving the only carbon-negative country in the world.
The lodges, which vary in style according to the landscape, showcase the diversity and special character of each location.
The Six Senses Thimphu is located on an auspicious hillside overlooking the shimmering lights of Thimphu. Designed following the Bhutanese culture of simplicity and harmony, this property offers 25 spacious villas and suites divided in four types of accommodation: Lodge Suite and One, Two and Three-Bedroom Villas.
With a rustic feel, the Six Senses Punakha is blessed with a warmer climate. It has a gym, outdoor pool and library. It has 19 spacious villas and suites with private pools, too.
The Six Senses Paro, located in Paro Valley, sits at an elevation of 2,250 meters and near the town. The property, of 20 spacious villas and suites, includes also a fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and cool dip and library.
The Six Senses Gangtey is located in the Phobjikha Valley, which is a quaint and charming area in central Bhutan. It is well-known as the winter residence of the spiritual black-necked cranes arriving from Tibet each October. The property offers eight spacious and beautifully-appointed suites and one two-bedroom villa.
Scheduled to open in Spring 2020, the Six Senses Bumthang will offer eight spacious suites and one two-bedroom villa. It is located close to the river and within dense blue pine forest, in the spiritual heart of Bhutan.
