Mas Mateu can accommodate up to twenty people, with additional rooms for the staff, which makes it ideal for a private family getaway, an intimate wedding or an informal party. An arched door leads to a series of lounges with magnificent views over the snowy Pyrenees, ideal for relaxing with friends.

Each room is unique and decorated in delicate Catalan tones, complemented by local carpets, unique relics of the family and fireplaces; some rooms have their own private terrace with great views of the Baix Empordà.

The property is home to Southern Europe's leading equestrian facilities led by a member of Spain's highly regarded classical training team. One of the world's finest facilities for training dressage horses, the centre can stable up to ten horses and houses an all weather covered track, an outdoor track, a round track for warming up and horse lunging, six paddocks, stands for up to 100 spectators, several acres of fields and living quarters for trainers.
