Istoria derives its name from the Ancient Greek word for story, and its design, by Athens-based firm Interior Design Laboratorium, opens a new chapter in the island’s unique architectural narrative. Here, the simplicity of the spaces blends harmoniously with the island’s traditional building materials of volcanic stones and coloured plaster and a few well-chosen pieces of wooden furniture and handcrafted textiles.

While soaking in the calmness of the relaxing surroundings, your stay will be enriched by a wealth of things to enjoy, from the sublime wines of Santorini, to the food prepared by the celebrated chef Alexandros Tsiotinis. Just a bite tells the story of its ingredients, the story of the locally sourced vegetables from the hotel’s organic garden, the story of the freshly caught fish, of the hands that prepared the food, evoking stories of hospitality and sharing.

Organic and regionally derived, the therapeutic ingredients used in the Asian Spa provide refreshing treatments for whole body relaxation rituals. Wraps, massages and facials, using only the finest natural oils and techniques, are available in the two treatment rooms.
