In the northwest of Jordan you can walk through the Roman ruins of Gerasa and climb up Mount Nebo, where Moses caught site of the Promised Land for the first time.
You will follow the Siq, a narrow and sinuous fissure between the cliffs, from where you will reach the Treasury, the Roman theatre and many other monuments of Petra, the city that was sculpted from reddish mountains by the Nabateans.
In Wadi Rum, the Bedouins will take you on jeep excursions to discover ancient sites in the mountains and admire the martian landscape. At dusk, you will enjoy the local cuisine while watching the sunset over the golden dunes. Sleeping in the desert is definitely a unique and memorable experience!
And the icing on the cake: a trip to the Dead Sea, to experience the sensation of floating on its salty waters.
