Your safety is our highest priority. OceanSky Cruises benefits from the experience of the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO) in terms of safety and guidelines related to passenger safety, search and rescue, biosafety, wildlife and operational procedures.
There are only eight (8) double cabins on the hybrid aircraft, meaning that this journey is made with a small and exclusive group. Each expedition has a maximum limit of 16 passengers. That is how OceanSky can also guarantee improvements in safety and a smaller impact on the immaculate Arctic ecosystem.
Both our crew and our expeditionary leader have been selected on their experience in the Arctic. Their knowledge of the exceptional flying conditions in the north and their prior experience on experimental journeys is of premium value.
The Airlander consumes much less fuel in flight than a conventional aeroplane because it uses lighter-than-air technology. The aircraft is lifted by the buoyancy of helium, so much less drive force is required (and therefore much less fuel) to raise it off the ground.
