Tswalu Kalahari is the biggest private reserve in Southafrica. Located in Northern Cape, a stone's throw from the Korannaberg Mountains and with a total of 100,000 hectares, it is home to two exclusive lodges: The Motse and Tarkuni.
The word Tswalu means "a new beginning", and explains the two principles behind the Tswalu Kalahari project: to create a one-off, inspiring experience for every one of its guests in the magical suroundings of the African savannah and, at the same time, contribute to the conservation and sustainability of the reserve, which has become a real example of ecotourism at its best.
The reserve is home to the biggest population of desert black rhinoceroses, an animal currently at risk of extinction.
