Bought by Sir Richard Branson in 1998 during one of his famous ballooning expeditions, Kasbah Tamadot is set at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, one hour's drive from Marrakech.
When Sir Richard Branson first bought Kasbah Tamadot, it was already a treasure trove of artefacts and antiques brought to Morocco by renowned art collector Luciano Tempo. In addition to the building and grounds, the sale also included a warehouse in the nearby village of Asni stuffed with exquisite doors, vases, objets and pieces of art, many of which you'll see displayed in the rooms and public spaces.
As part of Kasbah Tamadot commitment to the community, they offer villagers the opportunity to work there. Today they employ 120 staff together.
