In 1934, Queen Maria of Yugoslavia built Villa Milocer as a summer house on the island by Sveti Stefan. With its idyllic setting, facing the Adriatic coast and surrounded by more than 800 olive trees, the villa was converted into the exclusive Aman Sveti Stefan resort more than 70 years later.
